This October, Organics for Poverty is holding its inaugural women's fashion swap for poverty relief. Bring five items of clothes you once loved and swap for a fresh wardrobe. If the fashion items you bring are in great condition, everyone can find something they love.
Less waste. Conscious choices. Be kind.
When is it?
6 October 2018
Early bird check in and clothes drop from 11am – 12pm.
Shop the swaps between 12pm – 2pm. Clothing can also be brought to swap during this time.
Where is it?
Spring Hill Hall (upstairs), 10 Love St, Spring Hill, Brisbane, Qld, 4000
What to bring
So everyone can update their wardrobe in style, please only bring clothes that are:
- Something you would lend to your bestie or sister
- Good quality
- Free from faults, holes, or pills
- Washed and ironed
Numbers are limited so book now to secure your place.
Why does it cost $10?
The cost to participate in Organic for Poverty’s fashion swap covers the cost of the venue hire and remaining proceeds will go to an orphanage in Myanmar. The orphanage does not receive government assistance and if it weren’t for the children’s home, over eighty children would be forced into an unthinkable lifestyle. The children’s home keeps them safe by providing them food, beds, and an education.
Do I need to bring proof of booking?
It’s not necessary to bring your booking receipt as we will have your name on the door. If you are purchasing tickets for multiple people, please include their names in the comment box when checking out.
Is there parking?
The venue has a number of car parks and parking is also available on the street.
What disability access is available?
A ramp is attached to the venue, which also has accessible toilets.
